Our family tradition of building excellence began in 1963 when Gordon Habermehl started “Habermehl Builders” in the Muskoka Lakes district with a vision to build creative, quality homes while providing good customer service. The company grew to employ over 30 trades people while building and renovating some of the most prestigious homes on the Muskoka Lakes and surrounding areas. Gordon enjoyed a reputation for quality, creativity, integrity and satisfied customers.

Gordon’s two sons worked in the business and established themselves in the industry. Gordon’s younger son Dwight, with his father’s blessing and a shared passion for the work, began Habermehl Builders Inc.: “A Second Generation of Building Excellence” in the Halifax region in 2001.  The same name, values and vision that were the foundation stones that began the family business 1963.
